Psychological consultations and psychotherapy take place in a comfortable office. Psychotherapy in psychodynamic current consists entirely in a conversation between a patient and a psychotherapist. During the session a patient (encouraged to freely share his or her thoughts, feelings and associations) and a psychotherapist sit in armchairs, able to keep eye contact (unlike in, for example, classic psychoanalysis, where a patient lies on a couch – not seeing the psychoanalyst). Couples have a sofa at their disposal. During the session it is inadvisable to eat, drink or use a phone.
